Michael Rogers joined Dallas to advance the city's mission through effective transportation improvements and efficient mobility for all of its citizens. His goal is a safe and inclusive transportation system for the City of Dallas. He oversees the development of the Dallas Strategic Mobility Plan with the collaborative style exhibited throughout his career. As Director of Transportation in Raleigh, North Carolina, he was responsible for the passage of a $2.3 billion Wake County Transit bond. As Public Works Director in Peoria, Illinois, he negotiated with the EPA for the first 100 percent green infrastructure solution for a Combined Sewer Overflow consent decree. As Assistant Director of Public Works in San Antonio, he facilitated a $700 million infrastructure bond project. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering from Lawrence Technical University in Michigan and a Masters in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University.
