Sally Shipman Wentworth
Sally Shipman Wentworth is Vice President of Global Policy Development for the Internet Society where she leads the organization’s policy activities that support a secure and open internet.
Prior to joining the Internet Society, Sally Shipman Wentworth was the Assistant Director for Telecommunications and Information Policy in the Office of Science and Technology Policy at the White House from 2007-2009. There, she was responsible for government-wide coordination and implementation of policies related to Internet governance; cybersecurity; telecommunications policy; digital television transition; intellectual property and patent reform; privacy; broadband. Prior to that, she served as Senior Advisor for Internet Policy at the US Department of State. Sally holds an M.A. in International Political Economy from the Claremont Graduate University (Claremont, California) and a B.A. in Political Science from Westmont College (Santa Barbara, California).
