Malaika Toyo

Malaika is the founder and director of Made Culture a project and development consultancy in Lagos, Nigeria focused on working with people and businesses to solve systemic problems in Africa. She has over 8 years of experience working as a development consultant specializing in leading projects in the media and creative industries, technology, urban design, and youth development. She has worked with companies, government and international organizations including The United Nations, Ford Foundation, British Council, and African Union.

She is also a co-owner and director of A Whitespace Creative Agency an award-winning agency established to find and support young image-makers in Nigeria; where she provides strategic advice on their program portfolio and as well as acts as festival director for Tiwan Tiwa Street Art Festival a public space festival in Lagos, Nigeria.
