Jordi Puy


Jordi has 20+ years experience in arts & music management, a law degree from Barcelona Univ & IP studies at Stockholm University. While in London, he directed the Catalan! Arts export office for UK & Ireland, creating & implementing music & arts export strategies for its government. In 2013 he, with his business partner Shain Shapiro, created Sound Diplomacy, the leader of the Music Cities movement, which sees culture built into the urban environment through policy, helping governments develop healthy music ecosystems to create vibrant, exciting communities. They have worked in over 75 cities and 30 countries. As Sound Diplomacy’s CSO, Jordi has co-directed the creation of Unison, a new rights management model based on principles of efficiency and transparency through technology. Unison is the first collection society to create a platform that integrates music usage tracking data & works with Dot Blockchain Media for blockchain/algorithmic data technology integration since its start.
