Mark McBath,M.D. is an experienced surgical oncologist and board certified general surgeon practicing in the Texas Medical Center in Houston. Dr. McBath is a former American college football player. He was the starting quarterback for the Texas Longhorns from 1976-1978 and then went on to become a board-certified general surgeon and fellowship-trained surgical oncologist in Houston, Texas. He actively speaks out on legalization and promotion of compassionate use of medical marijuana and it's cousin, CBD oil. In 2019 he testified before two state government sub-committees and pressing for greater utilization for hemp and cannabis medical grade products. Removing cannabis from schedule one status will open the doors for further investigations and pharmaceutical development.
