Rev. Rich Andre, CSP has two degrees in Optics from the University of Rochester a Divinity degree from the Washington Theological Union. As an engineer, he worked in the semiconductor industry and the building of some of the world's largest telescopes. He was ordained a Catholic priest in the Missionary Society of St. Paul the Apostle (a.k.a. "The Paulist Fathers") in 2012. Rich spent his first four years of priesthood ministering to the students, faculty, staff, and surrounding community of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
He now serves at St. Austin Catholic Parish, a community composed of people from 60 different ZIP codes, comprising a diversity of ages, ethnicities, political beliefs, and economic backgrounds, with special outreach to the University of Texas, the State Capitol, and the local indigent population. Rich's specialties include young adult ministry, interfaith dialogue, and outreach to people who feel hurt by or alienated from the Catholic Church.
