Joseph Carr is the Artist Services Director with Indie Memphis, one of the top regional film organizations in the south. Mostly known for its annual film festival - now entering its 22nd year - Indie Memphis is a year-round organization committed to the promotion and cultivation of independent filmmaking in the greater Mid-South area. Carr is currently overseeing the growth of several programs including IndieGrants, which provides funding and in-kind filmmaking services for regionally produced independent films, and the Black Filmmaker Residency in Screenwriting program. He also coordinates artist and filmmaker services for the annual, week-long Indie Memphis Film Festival fest held every November.
He has also worked with several notable independent filmmakers and is currently a co-producer for the upcoming feature film, "Nessun Dorma", currently in development.
