Digital Art Can Save the Art Market

Date TBA

Artists have long experimented with technology. Today, AI, VR, blockchain, and generative art are all drawing increased attention (just see Christie’s recent record-breaking auction of an AI artwork). Despite these advances, however, digital art remains a niche apart from the rest of the market.
How do we help build a market for this new art? Can blockchain be used to create scarcity and value, while also giving buyers a foundation of trust? Can individual marketplaces offer new opportunities to lease digital artworks so artists can retain partial ownership?
These questions are all part of a larger goal—to not only attract new collectors for these new media, but also to help build a more sustainable and inclusive art market overall for generations to come.
