People with disabilities, allies, and advocates are invited to exchange ideas about accessibility and inclusive design. Whether in social media, apps, websites, access to the physical environment or including people with disabilities in your programming, you will benefit from the discussion.

The first 15 minutes, hosted by Walei, will include tips to make social media posts accessible so you can represent the disability community. Then, once we break into small groups we’ll get to know each other with an icebreaker or two and share our knowledge and recommendations of upcoming accessibility related events or initiatives.

We will conclude the meetup with assistive technology demonstrations and five-minute accessibility audits by Knowbility; attendees will experience firsthand the accessibility of their websites and/or apps and receive expert advice on best practices for inclusive design in mind.
