As Ellen Horne (co-host, Lies We Tell from Luminary and Jigsaw Productions, formerly executive producer, Radiolab) selected the stories about deception for the new podcast series, Lies We Tell, one thing was clear: truth matters, especially when dealing with lies. Podcasting may have a reputation for sounding breezy, but that doesn’t mean you can’t also be buttoned up on the details. Ellen Horne (and guests) will demonstrate their fact checking process as well as offer practical tips and tools for podcasters. The session will also feature stories from the battlefront of sorting out truth from fiction, such as: a Lies We Tell case study about a self-proclaimed “Sexologist” and trying to sort out what’s true in a confessed marathon cheater’s story.
