The Internet Killed Saturday Morning Cartoons! What’s Next?

Date TBA

The world of children’s entertainment has been flipped on its head by streaming video and mobile technology. Parents remember a time when they would plan their day around Saturday morning cartoons, but now kids have infinite options on demand. The family-friendly content is mixed with horrific videos featuring foul language, extreme violence, and cyber bullying.

While kids TV networks have lost over half their audience in the last 5 years, kids now spend over 70% of their time consuming content on streaming platforms where their safety and privacy are an afterthought. The pressure this puts on parents, content creators, and our children is tremendous.

How can we connect with and protect our kids in this on-demand age where gaming, Tik Tok dances, and toy unboxing videos are the new normal? Where do we start?
