Dear Women in Tech, Cannabis Needs You

Please be aware that cannabis and related laws vary. Programming in this track is designed to inform attendees about this fast-changing industry, and does not promote the use or sale of illegal drugs.

The parallels of tech and cannabis industries are similar. Women in tech have an opportunity to get ahead of a potential issue women in this market are already seeing "a lack of representation." Cannatech is a necessary sector in cannabis and now more than ever is the time for women apply their knowledge to these budding businesses. This talk is an invitation for more women to join now.

The presence of women in any industry provides balance and perspective. Industries that create barriers for access simply don’t thrive to their full potential. Areas of impact of women specific to cannabis are; ( safe access, harm reduction and social responsibility). Kiah is aware that the canna industry is not unlike other industries in not being organically women friendly. However, she understands that key differentiator in both technology & cannabis is that women who are deliberate and intentional in leveraging their impact don’t wait to be included. Influential women in cannabis & tech know they belong at the precipice of all opportunities and foster in roads for all-inclusive participation.
