Music City Pops
Nashville has long been known as Music City. But it’s mostly been tightly associated with country music. In recent years, Nashville’s scene has become more diversified. Jack White, Taylor Swift, The Black Keys and Sheryl Crow now call it home. Ed Sheeran recorded his last album incognito in the city and appeared at the Bluebird Cafe unannounced. Billie Eilish recently cut a live performance direct to vinyl at Jack White’s Third Man Records.
This panel explores why other genres have found fertile soil in Music City and what that promises for the future.
