Building Better Policy: Immigration in America
Underneath the political rhetoric about immigration is a movement of people constantly inventing new ways to defend, normalize and advance immigration in America. As that movement meets the 2020 election cycle, leaders in the movement for immigrant freedom are developing new policy ideas that can inspire the right kind of thinking and action about immigration. Led by key leaders known for their innovative approaches to immigration and social justice, this panel will untangle complicated immigration policy to help attendees understand the flaws in our current systems and why legislators need to create and support policies that will defend and advance the rights of low-income immigrants.
