Incidental Startup-Creating Solutions as Necessity
Ever diagnosed with an illness where the doctor provides a brochure for foods to avoid in order to manage the condition? How does one convert that brochure to modify meals that they have known and loved? I had similar questions. The journey to better health via diet has been personal, informative, and empowering — though it didn't have to take as long as it did.
For the chronic illness community, diet changes mean a lifetime of behavioral changes.
At Yumlish, we are working with hospitals to connect chronic illness patients to dietitians via recipes. In doing so, we are making it easy for patients to quickly jumpstart their diet toward better health. We provide an ecosystem for the patients, providing them personalized recipes, connections with local dietitians, and community support.
