WIRED's Steven Levy, discusses his definitive book on the social giant, “Facebook: The Inside Story,” with LinkedIn’s Jessi Hempel. Levy had full cooperation from Facebook, including CEO Mark Zuckerberg and COO Sheryl Sandberg, and will talk with Hempel about how some of the same forces that led to the company’s brilliant rise led to its troubles after the 2016 election, as well as how Zuckerberg plans to win back public trust. Levy first met Zuckerberg in 2006, and his book chronicles the company from its dorm room roots. The conversation will touch on new revelations about the company’s growth strategy, data sharing, crises like Cambridge Analytica and Russian disinformation, the fates of Instagram and WhatsApp founders, and the private thoughts of its controversial CEO.
