Dreams: The Future of Games as Made by Gamers
Imagine a space where players make the games they want to play while also collaborating with people across the globe to create new art, music and experiences. Media Molecule calls it Dreams, and since it launched in April 2019, the creative community that has built around it has created an impressive portfolio of amateur games. They’ve both adopted and subverted gaming norms, and created a microcosm of game development where the only risk is giving others a glimpse into your imagination. This talk follows Media Molecule’s journey to foster a creative community, from LittleBigPlanet through Dreams and showcases what is possible when you help players become creators.
