Studios in the Cloud

Following in the footsteps of Adobe’s services model, the music industry is migrating production software to the cloud, allowing producers and musicians access to a vast suite of tools that were once prohibitively expensive for many artists. While this trend is further democratizing professional music creation to anyone with ten or twenty bucks a month, users are now faced with a wide range of options. In this panel, three leading developers will discuss their approach to adding value without breaking the bank—and explain how this new business model will affect existing and legacy users and content creators.
