One-third of McDonald’s locations have introduced self-service kiosks while Amazon recently confirmed it has more than 100,000 robots working in its warehouses. Not surprisingly, 36 million Americans hold hourly jobs with “high exposure” to automation. While Amazon has committed to spend $700 million to retrain a third of its workforce, others aren’t so lucky: a recent Accenture study revealing only 3% of executives plan to significantly increase training budgets over the next few years.
