Twitch, the gaming livestreaming platform, boasts 10M unique users every day. It’s a large audience that any brand would love to connect with but engagement on Twitch is different than traditional media. With a live chat feature on every channel, viewers are a part of the experience. Through influencers and events, brands can get immediate and valuable feedback about their campaigns. There is just one problem: how do we interpret Twitch chat? Using sentiment analysis and natural language processing, Bethany will take a deep dive into Twitch chat logs from successful brand activations in order to demonstrate what works on Twitch. This talk will inform brands and advertisers what engagement on Twitch looks like and what makes good branded content. All according to the chatters themselves.
