Machine Learning Against Sexual Harassment
In Brazil every 1.5 second a woman is victim of street harassment. Mitigating harassment is a global challenge. In light of this, Think Eva and 99, DiDi-Chuxing ride-hailing app in Brazil launched a pioneer solution to fight harassment in their platform. It combined artificial intelligence and human touch to track harassment comments and complaints and establish specific customer service protocols to take care of victims, prioritizing their well being. At the same time, AI can track and analyze bad behavior, block users and prevent crimes. Throughout the project first months, about 700 users were blocked per week due to bad behavior. We’ll share this experience, showcasing improvements of technology and human capital to engage our industry to rethink the status quo in which we're built on.
