Hack the Poacher is about protecting endangered animals (like rhinos) against poachers using a special sensor. Instead of using very expensive technology like infra-red, radar, satellites, Hack the Poacher is about detecting the one thing that all Poachers carry-around and use all the time: (smart) phones.
During this session attendees will learn why detecting phones in national parks can become the big game changer, how we came up with this idea and what results we currently have.
