Open Infrastructure for Rural Digital Inclusion
The panel will illuminate both the significant need for improved broadband and telecommunications infrastructure in small and rural communities, as well as ways in which synergies between meeting IoT and 5Gs massive appetite for bandwidth can be met using open application fiber optic networks, which can cater simultaneously to multiple and diverse uses and stakeholders through Software Defined Networking. The panel brings together expert perspectives in these topics coming from global enterprise, the government, the nonprofit sector, and a startup company.
