The Black Box: 5G Security
The advent of 5G networks portends a revolution in communications and edge computing that promises to be a powerful driver of socio-economic prosperity and innovation. The potential and risk associated with building 5G makes the development of security standards for network and IoT providers worldwide an important topic for the European Union and its allies. This panel will discuss what approaches are being taken to ensure the "safe" buildout of 5G infrastructure in the European Union and the United States, sharing best practices and discussing associated economic and geo-political risks, addressing the question of China-based vendors and sharing with the audience what actions both the United States and Europe intend to take in addressing the risks.
