Safety-Net Clinics: Parity, Disparity & Justice
Safety net hospitals and other Federally Qualified Health Centers provide some of the most complex care to the lowest income and often remote communities around the country. Coupled with limited Medicaid expansion at the state level, high deductibles for patients, slow local economic growth, staffing shortages and limited social/infrastructure resources, they run the risk of buckling under the weight of their own mission. Learn how advances in telemedicine, innovative Medicaid reimbursement models and unlikely partnerships are boosting the front line of health care.
