Power to the Patient! Access of Consumerization

The consumerization of health is about patient empowerment. From health apps that help monitor chronic conditions to online platforms that access health information, individuals are growing accustomed to a more active role in their health care. Retail outlets are extending their health services beyond the traditional pharmacy. In this session we’ll explore how products developed by Amazon, retailers (ie. Walmart) and ride share services (Uber Health) are increasing access to healthcare and creating opportunities for individuals and communities. What are the opportunities for healthcare systems, tech startups, social services and other consumer brands to work together? Learn what’s working, pitfalls to avoid and how changes in consumer expectations are influencing industry norms.
