Democratization of Space
Modern tech advances have allowed private citizens greater access to technologies and information previously limited to government agencies. A student in Samoa or an amateur astronomer in Milwaukee can call up satellite imagery, purchase satellite time for research, or pay $100,000 for a CubeSat that previously cost millions. Join us as we examine the changing role of government as the former gatekeeper, the burgeoning private-sector space race, and the implications for the commercialization of space.
