Automated vehicles (AVs) have the potential to improve safety, economic growth, and overall quality of life for global society. In January 2020, the U.S. Department of Transportation and the White House released AV 4.0, outlining a consistent U.S. Government (USG) approach to AV technologies across 38 Federal agencies. This panel will discuss what the USG is doing to support AV innovators and entrepreneurs, highlight available Federal resources, identify avenues for collaboration, and how to create an environment to attract global AV innovations and entrepreneurs.
