How New Music Laws Can Help You Create & Get Paid

Date TBA

The Copyright Office will break down what recent legal changes mean for musicians & artists. In 2018, the Music Modernization Act (“MMA”) significantly changed the way songwriters, publishers, and music services collect & pay royalties. The Office’s General Counsel will explain these changes, when they will be effective & what regulations the Office is drafting to implement the MMA. The panel will also discuss other important legal & policy developments & include key music stakeholder speakers.
