June Diane Raphael, who currently plays Jane Fonda’s daughter on Netflix's Grace and Frankie and appears in the just-released film, The Long Shot alongside Charlize Theron and Seth Rogen, woke up the morning of November 9th, 2016 with the resolve to run for office. She looked for a book that could guide her through the process, but her search turned up empty. Instead of running, she switched gears and decided to write the book she wished she had. She found Kate Black, then the Chief of Staff and Vice President of Research at EMILY’s List, the largest resource for women in politics (Kate is now Policy Advisor for the FCC). Together they wrote Represent, an informative, advice-filled primer for any woman thinking about running for public office.
