Featured Session: Disinformation in the 2020 Presidential Elections
In 2018, Graphika and its partners studied troves of data from Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms and discovered that Russian trolls exercised coordinated, long-term, and far-reaching disinformation campaigns to influence the 2016 presidential elections -- everything from targeting black communities with false voting instructions, to creating fake online personas, and organizing competing protests rallying hundreds of activists in the same city, on the same street, in the same day. In this session, Camille François, Chief Innovation Officer at Graphika, will walk through the state of disinformation in the 2020 elections. She’ll look at the state of disinformation campaigns and adversaries aiming to spread propaganda and dupe the American community.
