A Future for Leadership: Transforming Trauma
Increased creativity, empathy, and grounded presence are all possible with post traumatic growth, yet 78% of team members notice a decline in a leader’s abilities after a traumatic event. Trauma occurs when an individual’s nervous system registers hopelessness from large events or repetitive incidences, such as marginalization and systemic injustices. Unprocessed trauma leads to stress, rigidity and inefficiencies. Traumatized leaders can unwittingly perpetuate their trauma in the workplace. Our panelists will explore the impacts of trauma on organizations and teams, while highlighting how they are healing themselves and their systems. The panelists will also cover steps you can take to reset your mind and body while deepening your creativity, compassion, and grounded leadership.
