Many rising artists are leveraging non-music creative arenas to grow their careers. This panel will discuss ways this is currently happening and strategies that musicians can utilize to accomplish similar feats. Panelists will include members of the Nerdy People of Color (NPC) collective, a group of creatives who advocate for representation of marginalized groups in nerd/geek spaces. Founding NPC Members include rappers who have been officially licensed by video game publishers, a WWE superstar, a rapper who is the lead social media designer for Bleacher Report and also designs high profile mobile games. Many others have leveraged their various creative verticals to rise in their own lanes and intersect the worlds of hip hop, anime, video games, wrestling, etc..
