The Billion Year Archive and Lost Lunar Library

Date TBA

In April 2019, Space IL’s Beresheet crash-landed on the Moon. Aboard was the first installment of the Lunar Library, a 30M+ page archive of human history, science, and culture. The Lunar Library is part of the Arch Mission Foundation’s Solar System-wide Billion Year Archive intended to create a back-up of planet Earth.
In this presentation, AMF co-founder Nova Spivack will discuss Arch’s ambitious mission, the breakthrough storage technologies developed to create the “Arks,” and the fate of the Lunar Library. He’ll also discuss future planned missions reaching across our Solar System, and how AMF is helping to develop an interplanetary internet.

Programming descriptions are generated by participants and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of SXSW.
