Saving Journalism Through Creativity in Turkey
It is no secret that journalism is having a hard time all around the world — both politically and economically. It is even harder when you are in a country that is ranked dramatically low in the World Press Freedom Index - 2019 according to Reporters Without Borders.
Getting through constant political turmoil, Turkey has been the country to jail more journalists more than any other country including China. The creative minds behind 140journos, Turkey’s popular new media publisher with over 1 million subscribers, will tell the curious and insightful backstory of how they have used creativity and modern marketing know-how to save journalism under increasing authoritarianism since 2012.
