Documenting a Movement: Muslim & Jewish Women Unite

In these divisive times, filmmakers follow the new movement of the Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom – over 6,000 Muslim and Jewish Women who are banding together to fight the rise in hate. Ignorance is a major precipitator of hate, and this powerful grassroots network of ‘Sisters” is overcoming differences to build connections over similar values and beliefs. They are approaching challenging dialogue in innovative, peace-building ways and, together, rising up to combat prejudice and hate. Stranger/Sister, a new documentary with accompanying engagement campaign, captures the story of their extraordinary community-building and will serve as a catalyst for peace-building initiatives, furthering the mission of the Sisterhood and expanding discussions to different faith and secular organizations.
