Fauvely
Fauvely (faux-vlee) is the project of Chicago-based songwriter Sophie Brochu, who creates deeply personal dream-pop music that has drawn comparisons to Mazzy Star, Mothers, and Common Holly. Last year's EP, This is What The Living Do, was inspired by loss, rejection, waiting tables, and yearning to be seen in this strange age of oversharing. With its delicate swells and hushed grandeur, the album's title track was called "perfect dream-pop" by The Chicago Reader. Now the band is fully formed with Dale Price, Dave Piscotti, and Phil Conklin on board. Fauvely's sound continues to evolve and the group has a whole album's worth of haunting new music to share.
