Lizzy & the Triggermen (dubbed "10-piece jazz sensations" by LA Weekly) is taking the wailing sound of 1930s big band and making it feel arrestingly modern. Be it songs about heartbreak, drugs, even the world ending – they turn our troubles into gloriously raucous dance music that recharges the spirit in that way only a full horn section can. In just a year, they've headlined some of Los Angeles' premiere venues (the Wiltern, the El Rey, and the Troubadour) all without putting out a single track - just through word-of-mouth about their electric live shows. Helmed by the powerhouse vocals and femme fatale swagger of Lizzy (who also writes their songs) and killer arrangements by Dan Barrett (who played with and arranged for Benny Goodman) and a dream team of jazz musicians - they are tapping into a deep desire in audiences for something different, glamorous, underground, that transports them into another world. Their debut EP, “Good Songs for Bad Times” is set to be released in April 2020.
