Montañera
Montañera is a singer-songwriter from Bogotá, Colombia, a Marca Colombia artist.Together with her other musical projects, Ságan and Suricato, she has performed more than 300 concerts in countries like the United States, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Spain, France, Italy and Turkey. She has presented her music in places as varied as the Kennedy Center, The Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, MaMA Paris, Festival Estereo Picnic, SXSW, Jazz Festival at the Park, KEXP, and Festival Colombia al Parque, among others. She was invited by the Colombian Ministry of Culture to speak at the MaMA fair in Paris.
Her first solo album entitled "Encarnación” was recorded and produced in Argentina, and granted “Honorable Mention” by the Colombian Bank of the Republic, appeared in “25 New Independent Women’s Projects in Music” for 2018 by Radiónica, and Best Albums of the Year and 2019 Bets of the Year by Shock. Her work has been recently included in “Historia de un Crimen” a Netflix series. In early 2020, she will release the first single off of her second solo effort, which is being produced by DJ PHO and will feature collaborations with Keyta of Ghetto Kumbé and Oscar Alford.
