Shahad Ameen

Shahad Ameen was born and raised in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Her shorts Eye & Mermaid, Our Own Musical and Leila’s Window won critical acclaim at global festivals. Her first feature Scales (2019) premiered at the Venice Film Festival where it was awarded the Verona Award, and screened as part of the Sutherland competition at BFI London Film Festival.
