What would happen if you put 4 friends , with varied musical backgrounds and tastes, in a room with all their instruments? The Derelicts! is the result of such a crazy experiment. Our sound can be described as funky and alternative with a tinge of 80s synth/dream pop. All they strive to achieve is have fun and share their joy with the masses through the language of groove. They hail from Kochi, Kerala, India which is known popularly as the 'Queen of The Arabian Sea' and love impromptu jams, ice cream, neon lights, and flashy colours.

The band released their first single ‘Happy Sad’ on 23rd March 2018 as an early exclusive on Rolling Stone Magazine. It has been making waves among indie music listeners since. The second single ‘Jennifer’, was released in an exclusive premiere partnership with Earbuddy, USA on 25th May 2018. The two singles were followed by the release of their debut self titled EP ‘The Derelicts EP’. Itunes & Apple Music (India) featured the same on their home page declaring The Derelicts! their artists of the month on June 2018. Their debut EP was also reviewed & featured on Bandcamp under the ‘New and Notable’ section. Another feather in the boys cap.
