American Werewolf Academy
Anthemic, energetic, and efficient might be a few words to describe American Werewolf Academy's approach to rock & roll. It's a bit of punk and fuzzy pop that coalesce in catchy bite-sized songs. Their music is frantic, immediate, sometimes wildly erratic- like a cat spiraling through the air trying to land on its legs. Imagine Roky Erickson fronting Cheap Trick.
AWA hail from Dallas, TX and over the course of 15 years evolved over five albums and into a fascinating exponent of honest, slightly crazy, high-energy rock.
AWA are currently working on a new album with Matthew Barnhart (Bedhead, The New Year, The Gotobeds, Metz. Nots, Xetas, SuperChunk, Silkworm) at the moment for a 2020 release with USA Tour.
