Lisa Suennen is Group Lead, Digital & Technology and also head of the venture fund at Manatt Phelps & Philips. Lisa previously spent 20 years as a healthcare venture capitalist, entrepreneur and Board member. Lisa most recently led GE Ventures healthcare fund and previously was a partner at Psilos Group, a healthcare-focused venture capital firm. Earlier, Lisa was on the executive team that built Merit Behavioral Care, an $800mm behavioral health company. Lisa is co-founder of CSweetener.org, which matches female healthcare leaders with mentors. Lisa holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from UC Berkeley, where she is now on faculty at the Haas School of Business.
Lisa is currently a Board Member of of Health Reveal, HealthXL and the Dignity Health Foundation. She is also on the Advisory Boards of Seqster and NASA’s Translational Research Institute, which is focused on innovative approaches to reduce risks to humans on long-duration exploration missions, including NASA’s Journey to Mars. Lisa is a Fellow of the inaugural class of the Aspen Institute’s Health Innovators Fellowship.
