Dhinuka Perera

Conference Programmer

Born in Sri Lanka and raised in both London and Los Angeles, Dhinuka brings a global perspective to the technology ecosystem.

Currently settled in Austin, TX, he is part of the SXSW Conference Programming Team where he curates, develops, and manages two conference tracks:

Entrepreneurship & Startups (which brings together founders and funders of all stages to talk about current best practices as well as the most exciting new companies and services across industries) and Tech Industry & Enterprise Track (which focuses on the forward-thinking innovation of today and what we project to be trending tomorrow. These sessions draw executives and leaders from a variety of industries to discuss the evolving landscape of technology-driven services).

Over the years, Dhinuka has also worked on many startup-related initiatives, including SXSW’s own pitch competitions, SXSW Accelerator, SXSW Release It, and V2Venture.

Dhinuka attended The University of Texas at Austin for a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Communications. Additionally, he pursued a Texas Business Foundations Certificate from the McCombs School of Business.
