Jim Galis
With more than a decade of experience working as an Executive Producer in game development, Jim has successfully managed talented teams of technical and creative people to deliver multi-million dollar video game projects for major publishers, such as Electronic Arts, Nintendo, and Sega on next generation game consoles and PC’s. Utilizing the unique combination of his engineering and management background, he has provided technical direction and oversight to effectively lead his teams to successful solutions. Jim is well known for his ability to motivate highly creative teams toward excellence in their day-to-day work while overcoming difficult project challenges. His experience in the entertainment field encompasses console, mobile and social applications, Free-to-Play PC games and Casino Video Slot games. Additionally, Jim has contributed to the design of curriculums for game development programs as Adjunct Professor at the University of Texas at Arlington where he taught the inaugural Game Development class. He is active in the local International Game Developers Association, ACM, SIGGRAPH and holds a BSE in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Arlington.
