Jenn is a user experience designer passionate about civic tech, design for social good projects, and design sprints. Currently, she works at the United States Digital Service where she focuses on making government services easy to use and inclusive for all. Her current project, at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), aims to streamline and simplify the process for people who apply for and receive grants.
As a mentor, Jenn is excited to share advice about her experience, specifically about working in government as a designer, career paths in civic tech, how to find and figure out what you're passionate about, design best practices, and, for individuals interested in UX, how to make the jump to a career in design. She's also just down to talk shop about design.
Jenn has over eight years of experience improving user processes, delivering delightful services, and crafting thoughtful interactions. In her spare time, she can be found breaking out of escape rooms, geeking out on board games, and searching for the best tacos in DC.
