Todai To Texas

Toshi is running a program called Todai To Texas since 2014, an official university program for the students and startups from The University of Tokyo, a.k.a. Todai, offering an opportunity to join and exhibit in SXSW.

Below is the list of teams coming to SXSW Trade Show this year:

- Wearable drone which levitates a person and augments jumping
- Eyeglasses for single-side deaf people
- Meta-material that can transform between flexible and stiff forms
- Drone which doesn't fly, but moves in the air
- Architecture CAD system for natural materials (eg. branches)
- SPGA programmable music effectors and software
- Camping trailer installed with recyclable shower

Toshi co-founded OpenPool project, and exhibited the projection-mapping digital billiard table in 2013 and 2014's SXSW Trade Show and Gaming Expo. It was featured on many media and selected as a finalist of SXSW Interactive Awards 2014. To share the experience, he started Todai To Texas project.
