Christopher Davidson

Chris Davidson was first introduced to UASs while serving in Afghanistan as an Infantry Marine. After grad school, Chris started a small UAS company that conducted environmental analyses. Here he was primarily looking at shoreline degradation along coast lines and rivers in Washington State, creating 3D models that could be used to calculate the rate of degradation over time. Now at Austin Energy as an IT Geospatial Analyst, with Air Operations team. He currently helps conduct infrastructure asset management inspections, storm damage assessments, vegetation encroachment UAVS flights and other projects as needed. Davidson is also a member of the CAPCOG UAS Work Group and sits on the Environment and Sustainability Committee for Austin Energy Headquarters.
