Qian Zhang

Qian Zhang is an Associate Professor at the School of Music and Recording Art, Communication University of China (CUC), in Beijing, and currently a Visiting Scholar at MIT. She specializes in Chinese popular music and the music industries. Her research includes studies of fandom and audiences, music genres and historical change, and digitalization and democracy. For the last five years she has been the author of China Annual Music Industry Report: Live Music Section.
