Matt Swensson

Matt Swensson is the Vice President of Emerging Products and Technology for The National Football League, most recently responsible for implementation, execution and oversight of Next Gen Stats – the NFL’s first on-field real-time player tracking solution. The Next Gen Stats initiative continues to rapidly grow and includes everything from data acquisition at the stadium to processing and distribution of data across various channels including digital, broadcast, and in-stadium. Since joining the League in 2007 he has lead various groups in the League’s Digital Media group - rebuilding and launching NFL.com, the 32 Club websites, and the League’s fantasy football platform. Earlier in his career, Matt lead a technology group at FOXSports.com launching a fantasy sports platform powering multiple sports. Matt holds a degree in Applied Mathematics/Economics and Computer Programming from UCLA. Raised in Arcadia, California, Matt currently resides with his wife Michelle and their sons in Los Angeles.
